A Hackathon is an event where programmers, architects, designers, and professionals get together and
work in teams to ideate, prototype, and create new solutions to a challenge or problem.
Hackathons are meant to provide a fun and competitive environment to create solutions. They usually
have a set theme around which the solutions are focussed. In the initial stage, participants submit
their ideas for solving a particular problem. Some ideas are shortlisted and the selected participants
pitch their ideas. In the next stage, the selected participants develop a prototype to demonstrate the
effectiveness of their ideas.
